From the beginning of the establishment of Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery, the Department of Principles and Techniques has offered courses to students of nursing, midwifery, operating room, anesthesia and radiology, and since 2018, has been responsible for giving ASCII in medicine and paramedical fields of study and basic nursing skills workshops for students of different fields of medical sciences.

The faculty members of the department, in addition to performing educational, research, cultural and executive activities in the faculty, collaborate with other departments of the university in the field of nursing and midwifery, medicine and paramedical sciences, and participate in national and international scientific and professional communities.

The department seeks to achieve a distinguished position at the national level in training committed, capable, and thoughtful workforce with managerial and high quality skills to improve the health and well-being of the people through training basic nursing skills in line with scientific management based on the principles of patient right and ethics until 2027.

1) Quantitative and qualitative improvement of educational and research activities;

2) Providing a suitable educational environment to create better learning experiences for students;

3) Improving the quality of curricula;

4) Creating an educational environment based on educational standards; and

5) Institutionalizing educational standards in curricula.

1) Creating research capacity in students in order to participate and collaborate with the health system and promote nursing knowledge;

2) Identifying problems related to nursing practice and the factors affecting them; and

3) Developing effective tools and methods to train nursing skills.
