History:
School of Nursing and Midwifery started to work in 1986 with the admission of 48 associate students of nursing and 80 associate students of midwifery, and expanded in 1987 with the admission of 49 associate students of operating room and anesthesia nursing. In the same year, the nursing associate degree program was replaced with a nursing bachelor’s degree program.
In 2014, the school admitted the first postgraduate students in internal-surgical nursing and intensive and critical care nursing master’s degree programs. Also the first postgraduate students of pediatric nursing and midwifery master’s degree programs were admitted in 2018 and 2021, respectively.

Achieving a distinguished position in Iran with respect to training committed human resources in the fields of education, research, management and healthcare services based on professional ethics until 2027.

1) Development of responsive, community-based, equitable and integrated education in healthcare services delivery;
2) Upgrading education infrastructure;
3) Quantitative and qualitative development of education connected to entrepreneurship in the context of third-generation universities;
4) Strategic, purposeful and mission-oriented development of higher health education programs;
5) Promoting justice-based professional ethics and commitment;
6) Development of virtual education in nursing and midwifery;
7) Upgrading evaluation system and exams for nursing and midwifery students; and
8) Promoting the accreditation of the School.
Mission:
Training of graduates who will offer nursing care services from prevention to rehabilitation using standard methods and tools by relying on up-to-date knowledge, skills, efficiency, faith, commitment, compassion, kindness, professional ethics and effective professional communication.
